Restoring 五十音 on a new device

In Settings, tap 五十音 under Purchases, then Restore purchase. 五十音 follows your Apple Account, and your family’s through Family Sharing.

A stroke I wrote correctly was judged wrong

Kanakana checks three things for each stroke: that it starts near its starting point, sets off in the right direction, and ends near its end. It never judges neatness. If a stroke you are sure of keeps fading, please tell me which kana and which stroke; that is the most useful report there is.

The beta

What does Kanakana need?

An iPhone or iPad with iOS 26 or later. It works fully offline.

Where are が and きゃ?

This first version teaches the 46 basic kana of each script. Dakuten (が, ぱ) and combination kana (きゃ) are planned next.

Can I hide romaji?

Yes, in Settings. The sound and the kana are enough once you know them.
